This Frequency DataBase contains the MURS (Multi Use Radio Service) Frequency listing. This is basically a low power VHF, licensed service. There is no license required to listen but there is one required to transmit. Transmit power is restricted to 2W.
The DOT System has been grandfathered in from the LMR (Land Mobile Radio System) which used colored dots as designation. MURS is all NFM (Narrow FM) the DOT Channels are FM (Frequency Modulation).
